The phone call..the long lost friend.
going back to the fifth std.travel down the time.
three names that i remembered.
some relationships are forever.something that binds them.
maybe she was one of the first friends i ever had.
it's a gift.a chance
an opportunity to relive those innocent days.
we guess and laugh
seldom getting the facts right.
the journey continues.
godspeed

Clocks

Every generation has some things that have ceased to live and be adopted by the next. There might be a plethora of things but what there’s one little small thing that i would like to attribute to my generation.
The table alarm clock. There was a time when it was one of the most personal possessions. Those who have lived in hostels or even otherwise ever thought of waking up on time, live up to a meeting, be on time for date has relied faithfully on this. Personally very rarely has my clock been successful in getting me up on time but for the sake of millions who have been kind enough not to kick, throw or bang i would treat mine as a isolated case. I take the liberty to assume that everyone in my generation can attribute some of their success to this small instrument.
With mass influx and adoption of cellphones people have switched over digital alarm available on their phones. The less swanky, bulky and unsophisticated clock is making it’s exit from the bedrooms. pretty soon the irritating alarm would be gone forever, as change is a norm and inevitable.

0600 hrs Eyes open to first rays of sunlight beaming into the room
0800 hrs Plan for the day. Meet friends’ .the usual hangout
The day starts. Friends. One sms. A casual chat. Little bored. One suggestion. One place . Someone says a must visit.
Everyone but you laugh at him. You think its fun.
You look around. No one for company!! Smile and move on. Pack your bags. Fill fuel and you are on your way!
You hope to find some company.
You travel alone. Little despaired. The journey’s been alone. Someone needs a lift .you oblige. you talk. He’s good. Learn. You drop him..Move on
You are tired. It’s been a long ride. You see something beautiful. The pretty lady..Mesmerising eyes
Morning. Those eyes aren’t around. Smile and move on. You on road again.
Not too far. Accident. You can’t go further.
You think it’s over. A man stops. Offers you a lift.
Destination. Thank the kind man. it’s beautiful. In a little distance there’s another place. it’s even better. New DESTINATION.
No vehicle. You think you would never make it.
You overhear someone. Someone seeking company. The new destination.
You call out! It’s her! Lady with mesmerising eyes!
You both smile and move on!!
As sweat slither down my temple I wonder how a place which had never heard of summer is so hot that fans and air conditioners have become a necessity in every house. I travelled the length of our country and found people complaining everywhere about the changing climate. Colder winters and hotter summers is what everyone is complaining about. The seasons are getting mixed up. Untimely rainfalls are affecting the agriculture sector. Almost every year we have drought like situation in one corner of the country and devastating floods in the other.
Though it seems like a very complex problem ironically it’s not. If we attempt to understand this problem one would realise that we are sole reasons for it. Out carelessness in handling the nature and our attitude towards damage control are the root causes for this problem getting out of our hands.
It’s time we stood up and took notice of this problem that threatens the existence of mankind and would severely affect the future generations. We don’t need stricter laws because we are not animals. We have shaped this world with our own hands. We need awareness as this is problem is pervasive and threatens everyone. We need to follow emission guidelines strictly and religiously. Also corporate houses should take the lead in this campaign and set right examples for the masses to follow.
Plant a tree wherever you go and wherever you can!

TWO SHOES, A COUNTRY AND A PRESIDENT

Isn’t it funny that the journalist who threw shoes at erstwhile president of US of A has been sentenced to three years of jail term. Now firstly i wish to analyse the man at the receiving end, a man who would go down in the books of history for all the wrong reasons, Mr. George w Bush .he has made more mistakes in his tenure than all the presidents collectively put together. His decision to wage war against Iraq has resulted in death of thousands of civilians and soldiers. He is solely responsible for ruining a country, for creating lawlessness and bringing down a dictator who was absolutely incapable of posing any threat to the mighty USA. There are many independent journalists who have produced evidence that the war against Iraq was for its oil resources and more so for the personal gains of Mr. President. It is claimed that Mr. President is one of the largest stake holders in the oil companies that were given licences post war.
Now the person who threw the shoes , A journalist , an Iraqi by nationality, who like millions of Iraqis have not been able to rationalise the need for the war, who for no fault of theirs were dragged into a bloody mess and their homes destroyed. Think of his state of mind. He’s no terrorist. Maybe he did what any Iraqi would die to do. They realise that Mr. President would get away with all this, unquestioned and unaccounted.
Look at the irony of our world..a man who destroys a country is allowed to live freely and a man whose patriotism got better of him, who threw shoes at a person who destroyed his house is put behind bars.
Maybe some countries are not even worth a pair of shoes!!

A couple of days back while reading the newspaper I saw this statement made by Samajwadi Party :
“Sanjay Dutt is not a criminal”
Nice to hear , a little difficult to believe but what amazes me is why on this planet are you even bothering to say something like this. I mean who cares?? Really who does??
They should know i won’t read, I’m the common man, why should I? It doesn’t matter to me. Aren’t there enough goons ,rapists, murderers and mafia dons already being elected and being sent to the parliament in name of democracy? Aren’t our state assemblies more of a rogue camps that political institutions. I the common man study hard, get in to government jobs, earn little, and pay taxes without fail to feed these illiterate criminals. To be ordered around by goons who have no regards for law and no understanding of governance.
Then why would I mind if a well read educated criminal aspires to join this bandwagon. He might have got some hundreds of people blasted into pieces for no reason whatsoever, or might have helped the most wanted criminals or to say helped them become most wanted criminals of India. should we not rejoice for the reason that at least he can act to be a good guy! At least he would do a better job at fooling people! And then he’s already rich so embezzling public funds might not interest him much. And well if you are worried that he might not find enough vote banks then please lay back, pull out a beer and watch the drama unveil! My fellow citizens will elect him, some because of his on screen good image , some out of sympathy , some for money, for a TV or a bottle of rum or just because we are god damn Indians.
So somebody please tell BSP to call for a press conference and proudly declare that Sanjay Dutt is a criminal”. his chances of getting elected will only get better.
P S: Sanjay dutt has been accussed for possesing illegal arms and having links with the underworld
