What would you tell a father who has lost both his sons, one due to high fever and improper medical care and the other one in a road accident.I stood stumped as he cried holding my hands telling me how after his retirement he has all the time to bless but no kids!
It was couple of days back,as i was waiting for the bus to bangalore my neigbhour came upto me to inquire about my well being. his son was working in a call center and on the day his fate betrayed his destiny he was drunk beyond permissible limits. he was over speeding when he lost control and crashed into a truck killing him on spot. only if he could have had less drinks and not decided to display his heroics his father wouldn't have been made to go through this ordeal that would haunt him all his life. His parents will suffer in silence for no fault of theirs all for their decision to let their sons be independent and enjoy their lives. years of dreams and expectations come down crashing with every peg of alcohol.
This was not destiny it was a pure case of ignorance ,of his parents, his duties and his own life.please do not make your parents go through this. drink responsibly and do not drive under influence of alcohol.
You all owe it to your Parents!!

Six months in isolation and I walk into a different world to find that almost all the “ happening” things were not so happening anymore. Being trained at an army establishment we were prohibited from accessing internet by our seniors..Never thought I would find myself in a vacuum six months later. Army at all times should keep it’s troops updated about latest developments and technologies. As for Indian army and specially the officer’s cadre the training is equivalent to what is taught a 5th grader in schools. Going a little deeper I would like to talk about map reading and navigation with GPS. We rely completely on American satellites. The green and maroon berets would know how much one relies on this technology during exercises and operations. Indian army need to allocate separate funds for development of satellites that aid navigation. Being trained on American satellite based GPS is a complete waste of resources. In War time these systems would be made inaccessible leading to mission failures. Indian soldiers are best trained in compass and map based navigation. So all those in training take extra and sincere effort in learning map reading. Blogging after a long time, so just few liners to get into the rhythm!! Will add more in days to come…

The world cup's over for India and Pakistan, Two biggest cricketing nations but not before raising many doubts in minds of the fans and followers.
Just assume that Match fixing allegations are proved, I wonder how it would affect not this but the future generations.
My Take:
It will be a Sunday morning and kids would wake up in a mood of excitement.Cricket would still be a craze as parents would let them watch it happily.
As cricket would take over WWE (world wrestling entertainment) in TRP ratings it would only be followed by school kids and jobless youth. Hoping that government will legalize betting by then we would see people getting rich overnight. Cricket stadiums would have stricter rules like their race courses. Cricketers would still be minting money by giving useful tips to the rich and the famous. I'm not sure if will have something called "the Indian cricket team". On a serious note this country effortlessly forgotIndia's achievements in hockey and never looked back at hockey legends like Dhyan chand. Today hockey is just limited to a certain part of the country. We have build this nation into a cricketing giant with years of hard work and contribution. Let's live to save its sanctity. Irrespective of the sport we must help it scale to the next level!!

For one year I felt that Mathematics is something surely I’m not made for but it took just 4 days for my teacher to bring me out this notion.
This is a tribute, a note of thanks (the least I could do) to Mrs. Khare; the lady solely responsible for changing my life and showing me the brighter side of life.
It was those days which I would always live regret and continued to do if not Khare madam. I’m sure there might be a lot of guys like me who have been blessed by
Her and have helped in adding a new meaning to life. Some Sixty odd, grey haired and an extraordinary radiant skin, with decades of teaching experience she comes across as a very strong person, armed with the ability to charm even the pied piper. She spoon fed me for 5 days with little doses of arithmetic to help me pass one of the biggest hurdles of life. I don’t’ know many teacher who would teach you all day long ( we had to stay at her place) for almost nothing in return.
After 5 years I had been to her place.Usually I don’t even remember scheduled calls for than an hour but going back that old lane was no big task. I had never gone back to her since the day I gave my exam coz somewhere I felt like an idiot for bunking her classes. As I walked into her house I found Khare madam staring at me with her beady eyes.
I know I felt amazing to see her again but somewhere I could see the satisfaction in her eyes was far greater than my happiness.
I’m sure this article would be read by just a few but whoever does please pass on the message to others that changing lives of others is the only way one can connect to god. No one’s stupid or weak. This world is a habitat of equals. There’s no religion. Knowledge is your amour and in whatever way you can, help others coz God helps those who help him in helping others.
Thanks Khare Ma’am.
I have lived all life long as a Pro Indian Army and it will remain the same till my last breath.I came across this video about the career and lifestyle in the indian Army. it's a TV commercial to attract talented youth to join the Armed forces. Most of it has been shot at NDA campus in Khadakwasla.I feel this is a good move to showcase to the world the culture in the indian Army.Though it goes to a great extent in serving its purpose it could have been made better by adding some scenes and incidents of bravery. We have a lot of martyrs who have inspired a lot of budding officers to join the forces. Our Army does not only provide it's men with a great life but also the challenges and opportunities to stand above the rest.

One thing i enjoy the most is playing. When I’m on the field.. Running…getting tired and the sweat flowing down my temple. This feeling is better that any tequila or beer. The kick out of it lasts more than any amount of grass (I don’t smoke, based on assumptions).
I have always been into sports, something that has come very natural to me. I feel it’s a gift discovered by human race which should be used by everyone. In an Age where we hardly get any time to do anything apart from work we must spend some time playing the sport we like.
It helps me gain confidence and freshen up my mind. Participation In sports from a early age does not only help you develop leadership skills but also the ability to play in a team, a factor that will helpful on the professional front. Another important factor that sports help you develop is aggression and to take up challenges something I feel dictates ones individuality.
I have lost more matches than I have won in my stint at all levels in various levels but it has surely made me a better person and a very strong person. My advice no matter how old you are or how busy you, do take out time to play some sport.. stop living in virtual world, the real world is far better.
I’m game..are you??

Okk..i’m back after a short break from the systems of my life. Spent some time lazin around and introspecting. Also had been to see, laugh and see getting people insulted by the “funniest man in the world”-Russell Peters.
I will not write the details of his show but take the opportunity to write about what I learnt from this show.
My biggest learning was humour is nothing but making people laugh at themselves. and the easiest way to sell a showIs to target a specific person and let everyone have fun at his cost. Russell peters is a very smart businessman who does nothing butCross sell these jokes while traveling all over the globe. Undoubtedly he’s very spontaneous and doesn’t spare the smallest opportunityTo take someone’s trip.I also admire his observational skills as his jokes have a strong local flavor and a deep meaning to ponder on for a very long time.
For all those who have missed out, there’s a always a next time.
Till then, like Russell says “ Be Cheap and Download”

Now before I write this article let me clearly state I don’t intend to offend any community here.
We let’s try to imagine Ramayana taking place in today’s world. Before anything would have started rama’s father would have been imprisoned for having more than wife (Hindu marriage act) about the “svyamvar” I’m sure ram would have had tough competition from Maj. Rathore (Olympic medalists).then comes the vanvas which I’m sure who wouldn’t have mind either as with wide network coverage all over, it wouldn’t have been a problem living out there. Moreover we all know that’s where the money is!.i’m sure he could have gone for 14 days but 14 years is impossible( permission from forest department). Now comes the important part “The Sita haran”. Now no one could have fooled ram’s death as sita or laxman could have just called or messaged ram to check up on him. Ravan couldn’t have killed “ garuda” as it would have irked Peta activists and definetly invited a imprisonment stint with salman khan. Then to track sita’s location Ram could have either used Google earth or could have sent a unmanned reconcile plane to the job..This way he wouldn’t have to risk hanuman’s life. now the flight to lanka could have been arial, considering the fact websites like makemytrip.com and cleartrip.com offer cheapest airfare.so like the story goes rama would have bombarded lanka but only after having sita airlifted by his elite commandos led by hanuman. As for hanuman proving his love for Ram by tearing apart his chest, i’m afraid this edition will not include this part as it can have a bad effect on youngsters who usually go out of their way to prove their love. For ravan’s ten heads i’m sure his body would have been demanded by top scientists for research.
Then comes the end where all’s fine, back at home but ram refuses to accept Sita. I’m sure Women activists would have made him change his mind without any conditions ;-)

Insult to Indian Flag and Indians worldwide
This image of mata nrimala devi, a self proclaimed spiritual leader who feels that she is well above her own country that has given her a identity in the society.
This image was sent across by a friend and the authenticity of this picture cannot be confirmed. I have used one of the many snaps showing the "GOD" insulting our national flag. what sort of a citizen can do something like this? her husband is a retired IAS officer who is obviously aware of the sanctity of the national flag.
People who follow this lady should abstain from doing so and Indian government should take strict action against her. This image has hurt millions of Indians around the globe. A flag of any country represents the honour and valor of the entire nation. That’s exactly why flags are hoisted in daytime onlyand kept in safe custody with highest care. In the defence services a soldier is taught never to let his country's flag down and when he dies safeguarding it, as a mark of respect his body is covered with the national flag.Think of the sacrifice a soldier gives to earn his rendezvous with our national flag. is the stupid gyan given by "mata" Nirmala Devi anything compared to it??
I have been reading this daily publication called Times of India for over 5 years now thinking that it was a newspaper.I guess when I started reading it, it was actually a newspaper. There were these articles which had the essence of good journalism.
There were 26 pages of news, each clearly drafted with some advertising in the corners. I remember there used be times when friends used to call me up to show me some advertisement which has been published in that day’s newspaper and it used to be very difficult finding them, This problem still persists even today, coz there are so many or rather only advertisements in this newspaper which makes it difficult to find a particular one. Today this publication is nothing more than an ad paper with some news as fillers.
The irony lies in the fact that despite hearing almost every bangalorean complaining about this Ad-paper, this publication boasts of the highest readership.
I predict things will be very different after 5 years when this city will start responding to this daily dosage of unwanted articles and either force TOI to mend their ways
Or switching over to some other newspaper.

Everyday we meet people who affect us so much that we go throug a phase i would like to term- conversational lag.Jet lag as you know refers the time one needs to set his biological clock on track after a long flight, mostly flights through different time zones.similiarly converstaional lag is a phase we all go through who seem to be so obssesed with themselves that all they can talk about is themselves.sometimes they actually end up convincing you that they are actually what they are projecting but it's only after a certain amout of time that we realize thatthe reality is something very different. how many such people do u know who can conversationally lag you?? think..

Many articles have been written on this topic with some people awarding SRK the title of one of the finest actors and some have written him off the elite title.
Shahrukh undoubtedly has been very choosey in his selection of roles and so far haven’t been able to step out of his chocolate boy image. His role in swades
Did earn him accolades from those have are widely respected in the film fraternity. He is also known to be a great friend and a very caring parent and husband.
For a person who is worshipped by millions and also earns in millions I have my own doubts if he really needs to dance in weddings of people he doesn’t even know?
Some might say that he has seen the hardships of life but does that mean he needs to sell every aspect of himself that too after he has already made so much money.
Come back to the question, SRK is definitely a good actor but surely not the best. There are also very good actors in the industry like Aamir khan and Hrithik Roshan
who are far more versatile and accomplished. Think of Shahrukh doing Hrithik’s role in KOI MIL GAYA or Aamir’s role in LAGAAN.
Actors should be judged by their capabilities only and not by the larger than life image they project.
As for Shahrukh Khan being the best actor in Bollywood, go to Google.co.in and type “actor”.
See whose name comes first !!
Cell phones in India are far more important than insurance. Communication in this country had never been such a necessity.
But this boom has definitely changed a lot of things and one such thing is how people fell in love.. I’m sure a lot of us must
Have waited long hours after classes to see the gal we had a crush on, but things are very different now. You either search the gal you like on orkut and Scrap her a million times before she finally decides to scrap you back or you can get hold of her cell number and start sending her lovely messages.
Love some years back was a like doing CA, many pursued it but only a very few succeeded in it. Today it’s like joining one of these courses from computer centers like APTECH where ,no matter how bad you are at it you are sure to land up a job and in this case a girlfriend.
Love today is still very pure but it’s just that we are misusing the power to express ourselves and to do what we want to do. In this new found freedom understanding cease to exist and relationships last no longer than a year. We have learnt to demand what we want which has traditionally not been the custom in India.
Think of a world where we all refuse to budge in to others demand because it might require us to adjust a little.
If all this selfishness was not enough for our generation we have also commercialized love to this extent that one cannot of a quality time without moolah in his/her pockets. My point here is think twice before you fall in love as your experiments with the wrong ones might hurt a lot of innocent people, Cell phones are a part of our lives but surely not life itself, if you really love a person never miss a chance to tell them that, time is more valuable than any number of calls or messages and above all
We breathe everyday so do we need a special day to celebrate it?? Then why just one day for love??

Ever wondered how people born very much the same grow up to become people so different from each other.
How some grow up to become successful and perfect and rest so confused and dejected. Of course there are people who get stuck in between these two segments
.what shapes our personality? Is it our parents? Our family? Our teachers? Our friends? Society we live- in?
I guess all of them. In articles that will follow through I will cover each aspect in detail, on how I feel each aspect of our lives shape us to be a bad or a good human being.
My objective is to understand this process, these elements which determine your life and my life, coz I strongly feel it’s the only way I can introspect and try to understand the potholes and loopholes I have ignored for so long.
Who knows it might be of little help to you all !!

It’s believed that god resides inside a person and that he need out look around for him.
But only if people believed in what they believe in, there will be no poverty. The problem is not lack of funds but the way funds are utilized in this country. We spend crores and crores of money building temples, mosques and churches which hardly help in eradicating poverty and diseases from this world, which I personally rate much higher on the priority list whencompared to promoting religion which has caused more harm than good to this world. Almost everyday I read about celebrities donating lots of money in religious trusts. Can’t we utilize these funds to build more hospitals and schools, to promote medical research and to feed poor children of our country and of countries like Somalia and Chechnya?
Religion is a faith which keeps a person’s concise intact but humanity is an act which keeps this world intact.
Can we not do with lesser of these places which might in turn make the lives of a million people better? Let’s be rational, when we can think of ROI even buying something as small as a radio which hardly costs anything can’t we apply the same logic before we spends fortunes on the so-called- religious places. Personally I have own doubts about god living in these places as I’m sure he would have better things to do than living amongst hypocrites. And say even if he did he wouldn’t mind having lesser homes on earth for the sake of the happiness of a million kids.
Let’s build homes for them, whom we have never seen, let’s do it for those whom we have.
So u want to know what there in the name??
Come to India. Here when I’m born I’m given a name like everyone else in this world.
But then I grow up, my parents take me to school, oh wait I get my name registered first.
Then begins the journey of the Me, My Name!!
I Write tests I write my name, I like a gal I dig half through the trunk to embed her name and of course with hers I carve my name,
My journey continues I go to college trips and I write my name..where?? Everywhere..In temples, in Ruins ,on hills , old monuments, in parks.. on my bike.. in my roon..on my guitar..in my mobile..on my CD cover..this is the great Indian obsession.
I’m sure most of the people around the world the globe like to personalize things but doesn’t personalization mean naming something you own..
In India.. we scribble everywhere.. in places where we go on a visit never to go again.
In places we don’t own. Things that don’t belong to us.
Or might be it’s just that we believe our name is solely owned by us and somehow
A Chinese might actually be able to relate to us when he reads our name..
Say it’s add beauty to the buildings?? Believe me the people who had made these places are far more talented and can well do without our names on their creations!!
Mr. Shakespeare,..Are u listening??

Guess what happened to Indians, they got Forgiened!!if u have been upset about loosing your job becuase your company decided to move on to greener and mind you cheaper pastures??Get happy mate..all you have lost in your life is a Job,think of people down here who have lost their lives for a JOB.
In Inida we have always had the tendency of selling ourselves to the Firangs or forgieners, and this is now at a all time high.Working in a BPO in india might surely fetch you a lot of money but on the satisfaction front i have my own doubts. What's good about them anyways??One has to do night shifts and though your designation might sound very "hep" i'm afraid their job profilecan't boast of anything more than 8 hours of CCP( Cut Copy Paste).and makes matters even worse is as an employee you have to stop being an indian, a person with family responsibities.BPO employees are made towork even onnational holidays and festivals. But one thing BPO's have brought into this country..Yeah..apart from money is Work ethic. There policy of making employees work only for8 hrs a day is highly appreciate-able!As for me i...I would never work all night nad kill my morning life,my biologicak clock, not be with my friends and family on special occasions.
I REFUSE TO GET FORGIENED!!!
It's like calling all east indians "Chinki's.no matter which state they belong to we aptly call them time cause its saves our time to guess which state they might belong to.With increasing awareness about the technology boom in down south people who once considered themselves to be "more indians" are rushing in in dozens for Jobs.so finally after 50 odd years of independence we have been recognized as a part of the country which have different states with different languages and of course with cuisineover abd above IDLI AND DOSA.But if Technology did this for the south indians, what will do the magic for the "chinkis"??I'm sure there's a long way to go before we start respecting them as indians and address them with the name of the state they belong to.Nevertheless this wait would surely be a interesting o
Is "I" an identity not good enough for us??we all relate to some religion or other.we are brought up inculcate faith in some god or the other.have we lost the ability to identify ourselves as individuals?i don't belong to any religion.animals are identified by thier breed,we humans beings needn't do that.what is this religion?it's a medium which helps an individual identify himself in the society!Look within, there's a god inside you..Follow No religion..Let your conscience drive you..this world is yours..

Not because the hooligans were kept away from the streets but sadly for them most of the software companies and showrooms have learned the trick.
The trick is none other than the late Kannada Matinee idol,Dr, rajakumar who still after his death continues to be everyone's hero and property worth crores.
It's Funny how North indians immediately pick up the golden words "Karnataka ki Jai" as soon as the verdict is flashed on all major news channels.
Within minutes i come out to my office to see shopkeepers running around to get a poster of Rajkumar as they know it's the only force that can keep the evil off their properties, those who can't manage to get his photograpgh, settle down for the less promising Karnataka Flag.
Ironically rajkumar couldnt save much when alive as he has done after his death.
Only if he could come back and see how he has become a protector of the masses, something he couldn't achieve in his lifetime.
As for the north indians and the shopkeepers i'm sure RAJKUMAR has already become their super hero!!
